2009 ATLANTIS DIVERS

SPEARFISHING PARTIES
(PARAMETERS)

Our primary objective for 2009 is to encourage more divers to
discover and engage in our wonderful sport of spearfishing.

We wish to continue having a BBQ at the end of each day's shoot.
Generally a voluntary $10.00 BBQ donation.

We will be recording each Spearfishers' daily catch based on
one point per fish and one point per pound.

We want to take a small amount of time at each event to educate the locals
that our primary target is Carp, Burbot, Suckers, etc.
that may be detrimental to the DWR established/desired species
and that we may take a limit of gamefish as well.

However, we suggest small numbers of gamefish at our activities.

We are requesting input as to whether prizes, trophies,
or both should be awarded at season end.

July 18th – Lake Powell “records shoot”
The Lake Powell records shoot is designed to give the spearos an opportunity to harvest species that
have not been recorded as trophy Utah State records. We will be harvesting carp while
we are pursuing the New records. Donations and/or Pot Luck toward BBQ and prizes would be appreciated.
We will be working together to eliminate and dispose of invasive carp species.
